Installation instructions for TGT Handlebar System
without steering stabilizer or with GPR Sub Mount Stabilizer
- Install handlebar in a normal fashion. Tighten the handlebar clamps according to manufacturer specifications located in your manual.
- Make sure that both air bleeder screws are positioned at 12o'clock when you sit on the bike, if not, loosen your triple clamp bolts, rotate your forks with the bleedeer valve at 12 o'clock and tighten bolts.
- Remove air screws from fork caps
- Remove plastic hose cover form threads on the stainless steel screw.
- Insert stainless steel screws into fork caps into the existing air bleeder hole. CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN YET.
- Tighten the other end of the hoses on the main valve that is installed on the handlebar.
- position your banjo fitting wit the blu hex hose between 8 and 10 o'clock fo rthe left fork leg and 2 and 4 o'clock for the right fork leg when you sit on the bike. In addition, you can also rotate your fork legs in the triple clamp to obtain the most flexible position for the stainless hoses if necessary.
- Tighten stainless steel bolt in the banjo fitting with a flat head screw driver. CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, the fitting is designed to swivel upon impact.
- Check and re-tighten if necessary after the first three rides to seat O rings.
CAUTION: If you have a solid or semi solid top handelbar clamp, you may have to buy two seperate handlebar clamps or modify your existing clamp.
Installation instructions for TGT Handlebar System
With Scotts or GPR TOP mount stabilizer
- Install teh handlebar in a normal fashion, tighten the handelbar clamps according to manufacturer specification located in your manual.
- Loosen up your left and right top and bottom triple clamp bolts and rotate your left fork cap bleeder screw into a 11 o'clock position and your right bleeder screw into a 1 o'clock position when you are sitting on the bike.
- Remove air bleeder screws from fork cap.
- Take your two air lines and install your TGT (model specific) fork cap fitting into the existing air bleeder hole. CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN YET.
- Position your left fork cap fitting so that the hose travels towards the main handlebar valve and then pass the end of the line UNDER the handlebar and BETWEEN the handlebar clamps, circling clockwise and attach to the left side of the main valve and tighen the line to the valve.
- Repeat the same procedure for the right side circling counter-clockwise.
- Tighten the stainless steel fasteners into the fork caps with a flat head screw-driver. CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, the fitting is designed to swivel upon impact.
- Check and re-tighten if necessary after a couple of rides.
